Realistic detailing and incredible paintwork are what set PAPO's Dinosaurs ahead of the rest. Each figurine is hand painted and manufactured according to strict EN-71 specifications; with meticulous attention paid to details like scale, posture, weight, and even texturing for optimal realism.
Standing tall at 22cm, this Therizinosaurus figurine is one of the most impressive dinosaur pieces from Papo to date. The detailing is nothing short of fabulous- featuring an articulated jaw that allows for both a threatening and calm pose; the bare skin on the thick belly with the two adjoining rows of enlarged scales; and a subdued but nonetheless attractive colorisation. While the original dinosaur was known for its freakishly long claws, Papo has taken liberties to shorten and blunt it enough, so that it remains safe for play.
TREMENDOUS THERIZINOSAURUS FACTS!
• The Therizinosaurus had the longest claws of any known animal. The humongous claws on this dino’s hands were capable of reaching well over 60cm in length!
• And yet, despite those creepy claws (and its intimidating stature), the Therizinosaurus was known as a herbivore.
• Ever the non-conformists, the Therizinosaurus' feet rested on four toes while standing and walking. (Most theropods only used three.)
