Realistic detailing and incredible paintwork are what set PAPO's Dinosaurs ahead of the rest. Each figurine is hand painted and manufactured according to strict EN-71 specifications; with meticulous attention paid to details like scale, posture, weight, and even texturing for optimal realism.
With well-defined musclature and a nice textural mix of sculpted wrinkles and scales, this Velociraptor looks like it could actually be a real living specimen... Throw in an articulated jaw that actually opens and closes, and you never know just when it might come to life!
VORACIOUS VELOCIRAPTOR FACTS!
• Pass the gravy! Turns out the kid in the first Jurassic Park who called the Velociraptor a 'six-foot turkey' was spot-on. The body of a Velociraptor was indeed about the same size of a turkey; and full-grown adults probably weighed nothing past 30 to 40 pounds. Yum!
• Scientifically, there’s no excuse not to put wings on a Velociraptor anymore. Tell-tale bumps called quill knobs were found on the forearm of one Mongolian specimen and the rest, as they all would say, was history.
• As terrifying as those hooked claws look, paleontologists have confirmed that they were no more useful as a hunting weaponry than, say, a spoon. In a 2005 study, it was established that the Velociraptor's hooked claw could barely puncture pig skin, and actually bounced off crocodile leather. More grip than slash to this little critter then.
