GREAT WHITE SHARK FIGURINE
PAPO | 3 years & up
Realistic detailing and incredible paintwork are what set PAPO's marine animal figurines ahead of the rest. Each figurine is hand painted and manufactured according to strict EN-71 specifications; with meticulous attention paid to details like scale, posture, weight, and even texturing for optimal realism.
With super sharp eyes and prominent ridge lines, this White Shark is yet another stellar creation in PAPO's marine world range. Its impeccable detailing is perfected by its two rows of teeth clearly visible on the lower jaw, all of which have been individually sculpted and painted to perfection. Like all PAPO figurines, this White Shark is made from non-toxic plastic and is BPA and phthalate-free, making it a safe choice for play even with our younger ones.
WONDERFUL WHITE SHARK FACTS!
• Great whites have varied diets and not all individuals share the same food preferences. But in general, younger sharks mostly eat fish and squids while older, larger sharks tend to go after big targets like marine mammals. Catching small fish and biting into fatty seals are, of course, two very different tasks. This explains why juvenile white sharks have narrower teeth than adults do— and as adults, their teeth become broader, serrated, and triangle-shaped, allowing them to tear large chunks of meat off their victims.
• The next time you see something flying out of the ocean, entertain the notion that it may be something that is neither whale nor dolphin. During seal hunts, white sharks can explode out of water at a speed of more than 30km/hr - which means it'll be up and gone again before you can even make out what that whole commotion was about.
• Assertions that shark cartilage is an edible cancer cure has led to mass harvesting of the vulnerable fish. However, cancer has been documented in more than 20 shark species, including the great white - and clinical tests have also shown that ingesting shark cartilage in no way treats any form of cancer. Now, spread that around to stop the unnecessary culling of this vulnerable species.
