Realistic detailing and incredible paintwork are what set PAPO's Dinosaurs ahead of the rest. Each figurine is hand painted and manufactured according to strict EN-71 specifications; with meticulous attention paid to details like scale, posture, weight, and even texturing for optimal realism.
Known as the frozen crested lizard, the Cryolophosaurus is known to have lived in Antartica when it walked the Earth. The scales that adorn the body of this beautifully sculpted replica are very similar to the scales found on the bellies of modern crocodilians, and appear to be very defined and unique, almost as if they were individually sculpted. With well-defined muscles and rows of osteoderms that turn into spikes on the top of the spine, this specimen looks almost an inch away from life; complete with an articulated jaw which opens to reveal a highly detailed interior. A must-have species that will impress even the most discerning dino enthusiast!
CHILLY CRYOLOPHOSAURUS FACTS!
• When Cryolophosaurus lived, Antarctica looked quite different. It used to be significantly closer to the equator and even boasted its own forests. Also, the continent’s weather patterns were milder than those it currently withstands.
• Notice the fanning peacock tail that the Cryolophosaurus has for its crest? Turns out it's a pretty weird profile for a theropod (or meat-eating) dinosaur to have as generally, their head crests tend to run parallel to the sides of their skull.
• And interestingly enough,it is precisely because of its peculiar Presley-styled crest that has unofficially earned the Cryolophosaurus its nickname, the 'Elvisaurus'.
